In a memo to employees, Jordan Levin, general manager of Rooster Teeth, said, "Due to the challenges facing digital media due to fundamental shifts in consumer behavior and monetization of platforms, advertising and patronage, it is We respectfully announce that we are closing the Rooster Teeth."

Roost's podcast network will continue to operate while WBD "evaluates outside interest in acquiring this growing asset," Levin said. In addition, the placement of catalog content and IP such as "Red vs Blue" and "RWBY" continues to be considered.

The Future Warner Bros. Discovery is looking to sell Rooster Teeth's content catalog and intellectual property, including the popular anime-style series "RWBY" and Michael B. Jordan's sci-fi animated streaming series "Gen:Lock," a company officials told Axios.

The company's Roost Podcast Network will continue to operate even as Warner Bros. Discovery seeks to sell it.
